Man Rescued from Hudson River by FDNY, NYPD

A civilian also went to the man's aid before emergency personnel arrived.

Rescue personnel from a number of agencies worked together to pull a man out of the Hudson River Thursday.

The 18-year-olfd man immediately started screaming for help after he jumped ito the river, abc7 reported.

Two divers were lowered from an NYPD helicopter into the water where they started searching as a crew from a fire boat waited nearby.

A citizen also jumped into the river before emergency personnel arrived.

Divers found the man and took him to the fire boat where he received treatment.

He was transported to a hospital in critical condition
